DVS Expands Outdoor Fine Pitch Offerings with DioPlex UHD-1
Fort Lauderdale, FL – Following the footsteps of the success of DioPlex HD series, which brought common high-pixel density options found in indoor and rental applications to the outdoor fixed install sector, DVS expands its outdoor high-resolution options for fixed installations with the release of the all-new DioPlex UHD-1, laying the foundation for a niche market of ultra-fine pitch outdoor applications.
The DioPlex UHD-1 features a 1.9mm pixel pitch, one of the high-resolutions available in today’s market for fixed outdoor installations. The high-pixel density allows for close viewing distances and high resolutions to be achieved in a large, seamless format. It offers up to 3,500 NITS of brightness, because of its high pixel density, it utilizes black LED technology, which natively reduces the reflection of sunlight to provide more visibility in high ambient light conditions without requiring high-output levels of the LEDs. The use of black LED technology additionally enhances contrast ratios that deliver more vibrant colors, the panel can be configured for HDR10 capabilities upon request. A 3,840Hz refresh rate is standard, optimizing image movements and reducing flicker on cameras, making DioPlex UHD-1 ideal for sports and broadcast uses.
DioPlex UHD-1 integrates a matte-finish GOB epoxy coating over the LEDs to enhance pixel durability which can tend to be more sensitive to impact in the sub-2mm category. This contributes longevity and moisture resistance that is also uniquely UV resistant that results in a truly low-maintenance solution. The matte-finish design reduces reflection from sunlight to better preserve visibility in conjunction with the use of black LEDs.
Like DioPlex HD series, DioPlex UHD comes in a full-aluminum design with convective heat-sinks behind the LED modules and power supply housing for fan-less operation and improved efficiency. The enclosure maintains an IP66 ingress protection rating that can better withstand prolonged exposure to the outdoor elements. It features a slim 2.6″ total thickness for a low-profile aesthetic and weighs less than 20lbs despite its all-aluminum design. The panel is both front and rear serviceable with weather-resistant magnetic LED modules and a fully enclosed internal components housing that can be accessed from either side of the screen for easy serviceability. Power and data cables are integrated directly into the cabinet design with appropriate weather sealing to reduce installation time and are enclosed to maintain a compact design that preserves a clean aesthetic behind the screen.
